Did you know, that you’ll find more ice cream parlors in Vienna than in Rome? More than 150! Yes, we are crazy about our ice cream! So here you’ll find my personal top 5 in the city, in ascending order. Plus a vegan one as number 6. I never tried it. I know I should. Will do. Very soon. Everyone who knows me doesn’t believe me.

A little off, but certainly worth the journey

Here are a few restaurants, a bit out-of-the-way, but definitely worth the effort.....

Not even 10% of us live in the city center. You'll find a lot of culinary gems in the suburbs! But don't worry, all of them are really easy to reach.

If you want to use public transport, check out the website of "Wiener Linien". Lots of information, including a route planner in English. Or download their app: "WienMobil" to your smartphone. It's really helpful!

Don't hesitate to leave the beaten tracks now and then. It's certainly worth it!

Looking for good and affordable food right in the city center? Here you go.....

Of course you'll find the usual suspects in Vienna too. McDonald's, Burger King, Subway a.s.o.... but.....really? You'll find plenty of food stalls, hot dog stands and soup bars as well, but I'll cover those in a different post. Here I present affordable local restaurants, offering delicious food at very reasonable prices.
